Mackenzie State Recreation Area: This remote and beautiful 13-acre park boasts jagged lava cliffs, lava tubes and blowholes formed when hot lava met the cool sea waters. Once closed in 2018 by the marching 40-foot-tall wall of crumbly lava as it oozed its way to the sea, the park reopened to an altered coastline and a new black sand beach.

O.K. Farms: We will explore the hundreds of acres that make up O.K. Farms and the surrounding natural areas. O.K. Farms grows an abundance of tropical crops ranging from cacao (chocolate), coffee, macadamia nuts, lychee, longan, rambutan, cinnamon, nutmeg, heart of palm, and so much more! Taste a variety of fresh fruits in season and learn to crack a macadamia nut. Waterfalls: Experience two of the most famous waterfalls on Hawaii Island. Akaka Falls and Rainbow Falls. Akaka Falls is a stunning 442-ft. waterfall that plunges down a sheer cliff into the water below. Rainbow Falls is an iconic waterfall right off a postcard featuring a 80-ft.-tall twin waterfall system. Look for the rainbow effect that gives the waterfall its name.

Hilo Town: Drive through the historic and graceful town of Hilo, reminiscent of the charm of “Old Hawaii”. Downtown Hilo is a charming town offering museums, art galleries, shops and restaurants.

Pearl Harbor National Memorial: Experience one of Hawaii’s most tragic and memorable experiences, December 7, 1941, a day that will live in infamy. On this important excursion you will visit the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, complete with exhibit galleries and a short documentary film on the December 7 attack. Then board a navy shuttle boat for an brief nostalgic journey across the harbor to visit the final resting place of many of the 1,177 crew members who lost their lives aboard the USS Arizona.

Byodo-In Temple: Visit this cultural landmark that symbolizes Hawaii’s heritage and historical connection with Japan. Located in the fabled Valley of the Temples, the temple grounds are at the foot of the lush, emerald green Ko’olau cliffs and home to wild peacocks, swans, and hundreds of Japanese koi carp.

This truly immersive experience will have the guest on and off the bus, walking with our guide through the fields and pineapple processing plants to see the whole process Dole has perfected to supply the world with delicious pineapples. Guest can sample a pineapple straight from the pineapple fields and before leaving receive a pineapple to take home with them which will be included in the price of the tour.

Snorkeling at Turtle Canyon: Guests will have the opportunity to snorkel with Hawaii Green Sea turtles, numerous species of reef fish and every now and then we get surrounded by dolphins or a Humpback Whale breaching in the distance during Whale Season. USS Battleship Missouri Memorial: Board your coach and drive over Ford Island Bridge and visit the USS Missouri also known as the “Mighty Mo” where you will enjoy a guided 35-minute tour of the ship with one of our knowledgeable tour guides. On the tour you will see and hear about the main historical points of the ship, including the Surrender Deck. Afterwards you are welcome to explore the ship on your own at your leisure.
