A highlight of your tour is a visit to the Bicentennial Conservatory at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. The conservatory is located in the tropical rain forest section of the garden and is awash with waterfalls and rock pools. It was built to celebrate Australia's bicentenary (1988) and is the largest single-span conservatory in the Southern Hemisphere, housing a display of lowland tropical rain forest plants from Northern Australia, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and the nearby Pacific Islands. Many of these plants are at risk or are endangered in their natural habitats. Visit the Palm House, established in 1875 -- the pre-cursor to the conservatory. It was fully restored in 1992 and is believed to be the only one still in existence today.

Adelaide is a city of wide, leafy streets and elegant architecture, offering the visitor a myriad of opportunities to relax, indulge, discover and enjoy. This half-day tour captures the key highlights that make Adelaide a truly charming city.

Cleland Wildlife Park is situated in the rolling hills of Adelaide's Mount Lofty Ranges. The park is where people and animals meet and is home to a large collection of native Australian animals and birds. Set in 172 acres of picturesque bushland, it is where kangaroos, wallabies and emus run free.

Winding roads lead past orchards and vineyards to pretty township of Hahndorf nestled in the foothills. Founded by German Lutherans in 1839 it is Australia's oldest surviving German settlement. The main street is shaded by century-old elm trees and features old-fashioned cottages, plenty of souvenir shops, craft outlets and galleries. There is still a strong German flavor in Hahndorf, most apparent in the bakeries that line the bustling main street. Several boutique cellar doors have recently opened in the main street, and trendy eateries serve the freshest and best local produce.

The McLaren Vale wine-growing region invites you to visit some of its many world-class wineries. The region's moderate, Mediterranean-like climate dishes up legendary Shiraz, with Grenache and Cabernet varietals coming a very close second.

In the past, sailing an America's Cup boat was only available to the racing crews themselves, but today you have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the thrill of sailing on an America's Cup yacht on the waters of Auckland -- the legendary City of Sails. This adventure offers a truly memorable opportunity to sail on NZL 68 and NZL 41 -- a must-do for all sailors and wannabes.

This delightful excursion visits two of Auckland’s most popular attractions. Drive along the picturesque waterfront road to Kelly Tarlton’s Sea Life Aquarium. In this amazing facility you’ll view a life-size recreation of Captain Robert Scott’s 1911 Antarctic hut on the shores of McMurdo Sound.

Meet your skipper and listen to a safety briefing before boarding the boat. The trip will take around 35 to 40 minutes, promising a uniquely Auckland hair-raising experience.

On the cliff tops overlooking the beach, you'll take a short walk through the native plants to the lookout point to see the gannet colony here. This is one of only two mainland gannet colonies in the world. Depending upon the season, you may be able to view the birds' nesting and feeding routines, and their spectacular diving technique as they hunt for fish.

Located on beautiful Waiheke Island, Eco Zip offers nature-lovers, young and old, a state-of-the-art, dual zip-line and New Zealand native forest encounter; making it one of Auckland's newest, most accessible and exciting eco-tourism experiences.

Cross the Harbour Bridge -- 3,200 feet of steel linking North Shore to downtown -- on a round trip that will take you past Westhaven Marina. You'll view the thousands of pleasure boats that give Auckland its City of Sails nickname.

A three-hour motorcoach ride to the Waitomo Caves showcases the scenery south of Auckland. After driving through the thriving downtown area, you'll pass through the Bombay Hills and find yourself following the Waikato River into the rural countryside. The hallmark of the Waikato Region is lush green fields populated by grazing sheep. The town of Ngaruawahia is home of the Maori King, and the city of Hamilton is New Zealand's largest inland city. Your drive continues into Taupiri, known for a mountain sacred to the Maori people.

Head to the Don River Railway Museum in a suburb of Devonport. Here you'll board the 3'6"-gauge Melrose Line that is run by volunteers uses part of the tracks that used to connect Don Junction and Paloona. A 30-minute round trip train ride to Coles Beach features either a 1940s ex TGR rail car, or a diesel locomotive pulling heritage carriages. Most of the rolling stock has been lovingly restored in the on-site workshop. Don't miss the museum, which features the largest collection of steam locomotives in Tasmania, with vintages ranging from 1879 to 1951.

You'll travel past historic buildings and hear about the local life and community as you make your way towards rolling countryside hills.

Hidden beneath the picturesque farmland of Gunns Plains is a fascinating world of caves, sinkholes and underground streams. Enjoy stunning cave formations, rich colors and sparkling crystals when you enter this subterranean world. The caves feature some of the largest limestone shawl formations in the Southern Hemisphere, as well as an underground stream and a glow-worm display.

Travel into the heart of Tasmania's north to the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, a magnificent wilderness of pristine forest and glacial lakes.

You will visit the Maritime Museum, aptly housed in the Pilot Station built for the Devonport Harbourmaster in 1920. Tasmanian and local maritime history is illustrated by an extensive collection of flags, paintings, charts and photographs.

Visit the home of the largest collection of Tasmanian wildlife in the world at the family-run Wing's Wildlife Park, set among 106 acres of bushland. The park functions in part as a haven for injured or orphaned wildlife, providing a rehabilitation area to help them re-enter the wild.

You'll traverse the rolling countryside on a tasting trail designed to introduce you to a master chocolatier, local farming families or winemakers at the cellar door. These are people who are super-passionate about what they do and are determined to please your palate with a variety of samples and new taste sensations.

The Eastwoodhill Arboretum is a world-renowned tree collection in a park-like setting with hills, valleys, ponds and formal gardens. Founded in 1910 by Douglas Cook, the arboretum has the most comprehensive collection of Northern Hemisphere temperate trees in all of the Southern Hemisphere. Your guide, from the Friends of the Eastwoodhill Arboretum Trust, offers an informative commentary during the 45-minute drive to the arboretum.

A short walk from the pier brings you to the station. Climb aboard and take your seat in one of the three restored, heritage carriages for a memorable 40-minute steam train ride down the scenic Poverty Bay coastline to Muriwai. Built in 1897 in the Dunedin railway workshops, WA 165 was brought to Gisborne in 1910 to work the steep sections of rail to the north. It worked on that line until 1942, before being turned into the star attraction in a children's playground until 1986. Finally, this beautiful piece of equipment was fully restored by the local vintage railway enthusiasts.

Sunny Gisborne, New Zealand's easternmost city, played an important role in European history, as it was here that Captain James Cook first set foot in New Zealand in 1769. A popular vacation destination, Gisborne is known for its rustic charms and picturesque scenery.

Meet your guide as you step off the tender and set out on a three-mile (4.5 km) walk to explore Gisborne's port, rivers, town and beaches, and examine a little history along the way.

A short drive from Gisborne takes you through the countryside to Waipura Station -- a sprawling 2,100-acre sheep and beef farm. This charming rural setting is the domain of a fourth-generation farming family.

Here's a rare chance to see stingrays being fed in the wild at Tatapouri Bay. This is a beautiful area 30 minutes north of Gisborne by road.

Its sheer isolation and magnificent alpine setting is unsurpassed in New Zealand. This easy, full-day adventure begins with a motorcoach journey across the scenic Canterbury Plains -- a patchwork quilt of pastoral countryside that lies serenely between the mountains and the Pacific Ocean.

Depart the pier in Lyttelton for the drive around Lyttelton Harbor. The harbor is tucked into the blown-out crater of an extinct volcano. You will pass through idyllic Governors Bay and cross Gebbies Pass to Manderley Farm, located near Little River.

Your first stop is at Olveston House -- a 35-room Edwardian mansion built by a prominent Dunedin businessman between 1904 and 1906.
