The school will present the fundamentals of the ancient trade of shepherding. During the hands-on class, you will learn how to care for the indigenous Laxta sheep and how to milk them most efficiently. You will also see firsthand, the importance of Basque shepherd dogs, a highly intelligent, energetic breed with one of the world’s oldest lineages. These working dogs are naturals at helping shepherds tend their flocks. The sheep’s milk is used to make Idiazabal cheese, which you will sample with a glass of Txacoli wine. Following the enlightening experience at the shepherd’s school, you will stop at the Sanctuary of Arantzazu, which Franciscan monks founded centuries ago. It perches atop a rocky cliff and looks surprisingly unconventional, as its bell towers are made with blocks of diamond-point limestone.

Your drive to Bordeaux takes you along the famous Medoc wine road, Route des Chateaux, with panoramic views of vineyards as far as the eye can see. Experience the Medoc peninsula through its military heritage and one of its oldest family owned wine estates. A tour full of history and the opportunity to sample locally produced Medoc wines is yours to seize. A scenic drive through landscapes covered with vineyards take you to Fort Medoc. Construction of the fort was ordered by Louis the XIV and it was built by the famous military architect Vauban in 1690. In 2008, it was inscribed on the cultural site UNESCO World Heritage List. See the main entrance, the waterworks, the underground room and the guard room building.

Head to the Medoc vineyards, driving along the famous 'Route des Chateaux' with a photo stop along the way. After a leisurely stroll through this fairy-like community, you'll continue your scenic drive to Beemster Polder, the oldest area of reclaimed land in the Netherlands. In 1999, this well-preserved and historic area was registered on UNESCO's World Heritage Site list. The highlight of your time here will be the visit to an original 17th century windmill where you will learn how the Dutch have managed to successfully live below sea level.

The charm of this lovely medieval city will capture you immediately. As you walk through the narrow streets, passing by picturesque scenes of ancient buildings, tree-lined canals and gabled facades, you’ll see the bustling marketplace, The Belfry Tower, the Town Hall and the Chapel of the Holy Blood.

Bruges is an exquisitely preserved Medieval town. The general prosperity, visible in the opulence of the mansions and civic buildings, lasted until the end of the 15th century.

Visit Rosenborg Castle, a renaissance style building designed as the king’s summer residence, right in the heart of the city. The castle was built as a summer home in 1606 and in the 1830s, became property of the state and now serves as a museum and royal treasury.

Your full day excursion starts with a panoramic tour of Copenhagen including a photo stop at the ‘Little Mermaid’. During a panoramic drive through the city, you’ll see Amalienborg Palace – residence of the Royal Family – the colorful canal of Nyhavn, and Christiansborg Palace – seat of the Danish Parliament.

Begin your Copenhagen experience with a walk along the waterfront and a photo opportunity of ‘Little Mermaid’.
