Enjoy a get-acquainted tour that introduces the highlights of Barcelona. Your guide will point out many landmarks. At the 13th-century Cathedral of the Holy Cross & Saint Eulalia, located in the Gothic Quarter, you'll step inside to admire the interior.

This bike ride offers a different way to discover Barcelona's squares, monuments, beaches and people, in a city that has more than 60 miles of bicycle lanes and an extensive pedestrian-only Old Town

Head to the famous promenade of La Rambla to visit the La Boqueria and Santa Caterina markets. The original Boqueria building plan dates back to 1217, when the main selling activity was a street market for meat, vegetables and fruits. You can still see the original building, with its metal roof, built by Mas Vilà in the city's popular Modernist style. Today's structure was officially inaugurated in 1853.

Visitors to Barcelona discover a city of charming streetscapes, sidewalk cafés and squares bustling with people. It is full of life. This amazing city also features the world's largest collection of Modernist architecture among its many buildings and churches.

An exciting performance of Spanish Flamenco dance showcases an artform that originated in Andalusia and is comprised of three elements -- the song (el cante), the dance (el baile) and the guitar (el toque). Among the gypsies of Andalusia it was used as an expression of poverty, oppression and personal grief. Over time, Flamenco has also become a means of expressing happiness as it incorporates elements of Spanish music in lighter forms (alegrias, bulerias, fandangos).

Barcelona's modernist architecture, conceived and executed by architect Antonio Gaudí, has ensured Barcelona's place in the world today, on the map, and heading in the future. This tour offers an insight view to the modernism as its best.

Ride by coach to the Montserrat Mountain Ridge, six miles long, three miles wide and 4,050 feet tall. The irregular peaks of Catalonia's most famous mountain are visible from miles around. Montserrat is a cultural, religious and natural landmark. Legend says that shepherds found a statue of a black Virgin Mary on Montserrat. When they tried to move her, the cart got stuck, which they took as a sign to she should stay on the mountain. So this peculiar mountain range is now the site of the monastery where people come to worship La Moreneta -- the black Madonna who is the patron-virgin of Catalonia.

Situated on the bay, the fortified city of Ceuta watches over the Strait of Gibraltar. The walled area presides over the Old Town of this cosmopolitan Mediterranean city, whose nerve center is the Plaza de Nuestra Señora de África.

Explore 1,000 years of Ceuta's history by land and by sea. A short transfer brings you to the Plaza de Africa and a monument dedicated to those who lost their lives in the African War. See the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Africa and admire the cathedral from the outside.

Board a motorcoach for a panoramic drive past the Royal Walls. Continue on to the Embarek Mosque for a photo opportunity before heading out to the Isabel II Viewpoint, which affords the best views over Mount Hacho, Ceuta City, Gibraltar Straight and Desar Mountains. View the border crossing with Morocco and see if you can pick out the face of a sleepy lady etched into the mountainside.

Sete Cidades, the seven cities region, is dominated by an impressive five-mile-wide caldera. Within the crater lie two volcanic lakes -- one green and the other blue. See the lakes from the highest point and also at close quarters.

Traveling by coach, you'll follow the road that heads north over the island, stopping at the Sta Iria viewpoint for a vista over the north coast. Visit the local tea plantation and factory, and sample some of the better-known Azorean blends.

Drive through Ponta Delgada; then, head northeast along the pleasant roads bordering agricultural areas and stretching across the island to Ribeira Grande. This is the oldest and largest city on the north coast, and has a distinct air of Portuguese influence.

Add a twist of adventure to your visit to this island that is blessed with astounding nature. Traveling by smaller vehicle, you'll discover some places inaccessible to buses while your driver explains some fun facts pertaining to the island's history.

From Ponta Delgada, head to the village of Fajã de Baixo to visit a pineapple plantation, where the fruit grows in greenhouses. See the different phases of the pineapple's growing cycle and taste pineapple liqueur (depending upon availability), with time for souvenir shopping afterwards.

Head to the fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, made famous by none other than Winston Churchill, who painted and relaxed in this picturesque setting.

Departing the port by motorcoach, you'll travel you along the seafront avenue to the Funchal Farmers' Market. Enjoy the sounds and scents of this market with its enormous variety of fruit, vegetables and flowers.

Enjoy a brief adventure with a wicker sleigh ride down to Livramento. This form of transportation is a step back into the past and is a rather thrilling ride is quite unique to Madeira.

Begin with a drive along the island's west coast to Cabo Girão -- the tallest sea cliff in Europe and the second tallest in the world at 1,902 feet. There are stunning views out over Funchal and to the distant horizon. Look for the inhospitable terraces that hug the side of the cliff and are farmed even today, although the laws of gravity would suggest otherwise.

A great panoramic overview of Madeira and fantastic views over the Bay of Funchal makes this tour an ideal start to the day.

Head inland from Funchal to the viewpoint on Eira do Serrado for an amazing panorama over the island. Sample a taste of Ginja -- a liqueur traditional to this region -- with a slice of homemade cake.
