Combine a pleasant walk in the fresh air with an exploration of some of Barcelona's most notable sights on an outing that begin with a short coach ride from the port. You'll then set off on a guided stroll, with the first landmark being the Columbus Monument at the lower end of La Rambla avenue. The 60 m/197 ft. monument was constructed in 1888 in honour of Columbus' first voyage to the New World. You'll then continue down La Rambla en route to Barcelona's Barri Gòtic and the Neoclassical town hall at Plaça Sant Jaume. Next up are outside views of the Gothic Cathedral of Santa Eulàlia - Barcelona Cathedral - and information on this key site. Last on your walking itinerary is Plaça de Catalunya in the middle of town, just the place to indulge in a little retail therapy. At this point, you can choose whether to remain in the city and make your own way back to the ship or to join your guide on the walk back down La Rambla to board the coach for the transfer back to the port.

Get up close and personal with the streets and iconic sights of Barcelona, from the saddle of a bike. As you follow your bike leader around the city's network of cycle paths, you'll find it's a really relaxed way of exploring. Enjoy great views of the harbour and have a glimpse of Montjuic castle from below, marvel at Antoni Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece, the immense Sagrada Familia, and trundle past quirky boutiques, antique shops, and tiny tapas bars in the city's Gothic Quarter. Cycle to the Museum of Art, and past the Olympic Harbour, and see the Statue of Columbus, the Arc de Triumph and Gaudí's wave-shaped Casa Mila townhouse. You'll also visit Las Ramblas, the famous boulevard buzzing with flower sellers, street artists and buskers, and there'll be time for a refuelling stop at a tapas or seafood bar along the way too.

E stands for easy-going, entertaining, and electrically assisted - three terms that also describe the nature of this half-day tour, which sets out to present the very best of Barcelona from a variety of perspectives. The first of your electrically assisted exploration aids will come in the form of an eBike, which you will pick up and then use to ride through the city and up to the cable car station at the top of Montjuïc Hill, the best vantage point for views of the city. You will also get to have an outside look at the 17th-century Montjuïc Castle before heading back down the hill by cable car to reach the seaside to taste tapas with a drink. You will then pass through Ciutadella Park and the magnificent Arc de Triomf en route to one of Antoni Gaudí's most celebrated architectural designs: the Sagrada Família. You will have some free time to explore before moving on to the elegant Passeig de Gràcia, one of Barcelona's most notable boulevards with external view of Casa Milà.

End your cruise on a high note by taking this opportunity to touch base with the fascinating city of Barcelona before you catch your flight at El Prat International Airport. You'll be able to relax on board a modern coach while the sights of Barcelona are paraded past your eyes. The route will take you past the Passeig de Gràcia boulevard, Gaudí's unfinished Sagrada Família and Plaça de Catalunya in the centre of town. Then, heading out of town, you'll reach Montjuïc Hill for a photo stop to enjoy incredible views of Barcelona. Returning to the city again, you'll then get to stretch your legs on a guided walk through the old Barri Gòtic and have some free time to spend on your own. The tour ultimately draws to a close with your transfer to El Prat International Airport.

An entertaining day of cultural sightseeing awaits you here, starting with a 1.5-hour coach ride to the historical city of Girona. You'll head for the excellently preserved Jewish quarter for an external look at the Isaac el Cec Jewish Centre, the site of 12th-century Romanesque baths, also called the Arab Baths due to their Moorish appearance. Moving on again, you'll then head for the town of Figueres, the birthplace of Salvador Dalí. Once in town, you'll first have time to get lunch on your own, after which you'll pay the fascinating Dalí Theatre and Museum a visit. The museum incorporates the building that housed the town's theatre during Dalí's childhood and is also the place where one of the young artist's first public exhibitions was staged. Apart from giving you a chance to view a huge collection of Dalí works, including 3D installations like the Rainy Taxi and the anamorphic room  the Sala Mae West  in which the face of Mae West is revealed when viewed from a certain angle, the museum is also Dalí's final resting place with the crypt located under the stage. The tour then wraps up with your return to Barcelona and your ship. Please note: this tour is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties or using a wheelchair.

Make a date with Barcelona to explore the beautiful cityscape, enjoy a taste of Iberian flavours and take a ride on the underground on this culture-centric outing. After meeting your guide, you'll first take a shuttle bus to reach the drop-off point in the city centre. Then you'll continue your journey by underground to take a look at the amazing Sagrada Família, masterminded by the visionary architect Antoni Gaudí and yet to be finished. You'll also have some time to spend as you please before continuing on by underground to Plaza Universidad, the perfect starting point for a stroll down the famous Las Ramblas avenue. Moving on again, you can then check out the bustling Boqueria Market on your own after a briefing by your guide. Next up is a real taste of Barcelona at Moniberic, an establishment founded to showcase delicious Iberian hams. Try three jamóns plus a drink before walking through the historical Barri Gòtic to El Born, where mouth-watering tapas await you. Finally, you'll catch a shuttle bus back to the ship.

This family-friendly tour offers half a day of seeing the best city sights, but without putting the usual strain on your feet since you will mostly be comfortably seated on a modern coach. The tour begins at Barcelona's Columbus monument, situated at one end of La Rambla Avenue. You'll then head down the equally magnificent Passeig de Gràcia boulevard before continuing your sightseeing with more attractions on the list including the Sagrada Família, Casa Milà and Casa Batlló, all designed by Antoni Gaudí: your guide will call attention to them as you pass by. After passing through the Olympic ring, splendid views of the city follow from Montjuïc hill, where a short photo stop is scheduled. You will then move on to the Port Vell district to visit Barcelona Aquarium, a huge facility that supports around 11.000 animals representing 450 species of marine wildlife. Be sure to check out the shark tunnel and tanks with rays and other large fish during your unguided visit, after which you'll still have time to do some shopping at the co-located Maremàgnum shopping mall. The tour then wraps up with your return to the ship.

Would you like to relax and have some time to yourself? Leave the port of La Goulette and head for Gammarth, about 20 km from Tunis. Although Gammarth is a very popular resort, it still retains a few nooks and crannies. During the 19th century Gammarth was a favourite spot for wealthy Tunisians to spend their vacations and today it remains an attractive tourist destination with sandy bays and picturesque coastal scenery. It offers some of the most extensive and beautiful beaches around Tunis and exclusive resorts. It is in one of these resorts that you will spend three hours relaxing, lying in the sun, sipping a welcome drink, swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean or simply enjoying the moment. At the appointed time, a coach will take you back to the port of Tunis and the ship.

Shopping, shopping, and more shopping, but also a kaleidoscope of colours, scents and flavours await you on this relaxing half-day excursion. Leaving the port of La Goulette, the excursion begins with a panoramic drive through Tunis' modern districts before reaching its historic centre, the Medina. Then, take a stroll with your guide into the colourful world of the Medina, exploring the streets of this lively district and dedicate some time for shopping, of course Arabian style. You can soak up the sights and sounds of this souk as you admire the many handicraft stalls and inhale the fragrant scent of spices. You will stop at a traditional carpet shop to learn about the history and traditions of the Berber people, who are famed for their production of quality Tunisian carpets and rugs. Sip a glass of mint tea, sample local pastries and let yourself be seduced by the moves of a Tunisian folk dance.

Combining the charm of ancient history with the carefree atmosphere of a typical Tunisian village full of charm and colours, this half-day excursion begins by leaving La Goulette, the port of Tunis, and reach Carthage. Enjoy a guided visit fo this important archaeological site, a city from the 6th century B.C. that was once the base of a powerful trading empire. Its most famous citizen was Hannibal, the general who crossed the Alps to do battle with the Romans. You will see the Tophet, a sacred open-air site where sacrifices to the gods were made in the Punic period, and visit the Baths of Antoninus, built in the 2nd century and one of the most important spas in the African provinces of the Empire. It is the highlight of the entire archaeological site of Carthage with its friezes and mosaics of great beauty. Continue to the Roman cisterns, the Cisterns of La Malga, a short distance from the site, declared a UNESCO heritage site and enjoy a brief photo stop. The second part of the excursion changes completely. You will reach to the town of Sid Bou Said, situated on a promontory with beautiful views of the Gulf of Tunis. As you walk with your guide through the cobbled streets of this former fishing village, now a must-see for any visit to Tunis, you will notice that the dominant colours are white and blue. Let yourself be seduced by the scents and essences of the spice bazaar with hundreds of stalls selling a huge variety of local produce or stop in one of the many craft shops to buy a souvenir. From the Medina, a coach transfer will take you to a promontory overlooking the Gulf of Tunis to discover the village of Sidi Bou Said. As you walk with your guide through the cobbled streets of this former fishing village, now a must-see for any visit to Tunis, you will notice that the dominant colours are white and blue. After boarding a coach at La Goulette port, you will first travel to the nearby ruins of ancient Carthage for splendid views of the Punic port and the Roman cisterns that once ensured the city's water supply. Next up is the characteristically blue-and-white fishing village of Sidi Bou Said, which was founded by Andalusian Arabs and is famed for having inspired numerous artists. One of these was the French painter and musicologist Rodolphe d'Erlanger, whose beautiful early 20th-century palace you will have a chance to explore. Providing sublime views of the port and the village itself, the Maison Baron d'Erlanger - which is now a museum - offers insight into the world of Mediterranean traditions, folkloric music, and beautiful old instruments. Moving on, you will then head for the Dar el Annabi Museum and its fastidiously reconstructed scenes of everyday Tunisian life, complete with some very realistically styled mannequins. The inner courtyard is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of refreshing Tunisian tea. Lovely views of Sidi Bou Said can be enjoyed from the museum, so do take some photos before setting off on your journey back to the ship.

When you are in Tunis and you think of ancient history, the first site you think of is Carthage. Today we would like to introduce you to another impressive archaeological site located just 25 km from Tunis and home to the third largest Roman amphitheatre in the country: Uthina. Not much is known about Uthina. It was an ancient Roman-Berber city, built by the Romans on a pre-existing Berber settlement and subsequently abandoned in the 5th century. Enjoy a guided walk inside the archaeological site and visit the nearly fully restored Hadrian-era amphitheatre dug into the hillside and which could hold about 16.000 spectators. Continue to a local farm where you will take part in a tasting of local products and recover your strength before starting a walk through a eucalyptus forest. Have fun collecting some of the leaves of this plant, which will then be distilled; each participant will receive a small bottle of eucalyptus hydrosols as a gift. The hike continues with a delicious lunch and relaxation with a detox tea leaf infusion produced on the farm. The excursion ends with the return to the port of La Goulette.

Enjoy some time to explore on your own or have lunch before leaving Siena to reach San Gimignano after an hour's coach drive through the majestic countryside. With its fortified walls and watchtowers, the city still expresses the power and prosperity it achieved in the Middle Ages. You'll relish the free time to stroll around the narrow, cobbled streets and visit the city, including the triangular Piazza Cisterna and Piazza Duomo, the site of the Collegiata, a Romanesque cathedral renowned for its fine frescoes.

Although "Cinque Terre" is Italian for five lands, the name actually refers to the five picturesque villages of Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore that sit like little jewels along the Ligurian coastline and together count as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The rugged and unspoiled Cinque Terre region is your destination on this all-day tour, which begins with a 1.5-hour coach ride to La Spezia where a specialized guide will meet you and from where you will continue to Portovenere, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Your guide will tell the story of this enchanting fishing village as you admire the panorama that inspired Byron and other Italian and international poets as a muse. You will have some free time to walk along the sea and explore the cosy streets before boarding a boat for a leisurely boat tour along the coast that intends to celebrate the region's incredible natural beauty and its well-loved ancient traditions. You will reach Monterosso al Mare, the largest of the Cinque Terre villages. You will have some free time in the historical centre, home to the early 14th-century Church of San Giovanni Battista. Before starting the descent along an old cobbled road  nowadays used by pilgrims  stop to recover your strength at the "Sosta del ciclista" where you can taste some authentic Palermo street food. Going down the promontory, youll reach the Parco della Favorita, the green lung of the city, and Mondello, where you will have some time to relax on the beach. Finally, enjoy a photo stop at the exquisite Chinese Palazzina, built in the 18th century. Your tour wraps up with your return to the port. This Christmas-themed outing to the mountain town of Erice  which stands atop Mount Erice at approx. 750 m above mean sea level  begins with about 1.5 hours on the coach, after which a mere 10-minute walk will see you reach your first stop: the 14th-century Gothic "Mother Church". Continue walking through town to the Cordici Museum, whose exhibits include archaeological finds, decorative artefacts, a weapons room, paintings, sculptures and contemporary art. On reaching Erice's La Loggia Square, you'll have time to explore the magical Christmas market, with stalls selling wine, local crafts and food. Last on the itinerary is an outside photo stop at the 12th-century Norman Castle, which sits on an isolated cliff in the southeast of Mount Erice. Photo-worthy views of the valley and the Saline nature reserve follow on the way back to the ship.

Joining this outing is sure to give you a thorough workout as you pedal around Palermo's hinterland on an approx. 40-km route with a 600-m gain in elevation. After leaving the confines of the city, you'll first cycle through the village of Arenella to reach the foothills of Monte Pellegrino, Palermo's neighbourhood mountain. Then you'll climb 500 m on a 7km uphill trail to reach the Santa Rosalia pilgrimage site, dedicated to the patron saint of Palermo. Take a break and browse the souvenir stalls at the site before continuing onwards and upwards to reach one of Monte Pellegrino's nearby viewpoints  perfect for taking photos. Further photo-worthy vistas follow on the way down before you reach the Bay of Mondello, where a white sand beach and turquoise water await you. Time to relax or go for a refreshing swim will be yours at the beach, which is also served by numerous small cafés if you prefer to chill out with a drink. The final leg will give you one last chance to soak up gorgeous coastal views before you return to the ship. Please note: the tour involves arduous and in part uphill cycling along an approx. 40-km route and is considered to be suitable only for guests with a high level of physical fitness. Children are allowed to take part in this tour provided their height is 155 cm. This appealing outing gives you a chance to team a little gentle exercise with seeing the sights of Palermo, Sicily's capital city, on foot. Your guided walking tour begins on Via Francesco Crispi, a large boulevard leading to Piazza XIII Vittime and its monument to 13 victims of the notorious mafia. A short photo stop is scheduled there, after which you'll continue your walk down Via Cavour, then past the well-known Teatro Massimo and Quattro Canti, an octagonal square flanked by a number of Baroque buildings. Take a trip back in time to the medieval town of Caccamo and its Norman castle, which sits at 521 m above mean sea level at the foot of Monte San Calogero. On arrival at the site, you can both savour glorious views of the valley and enjoy being welcomed by courtiers in period costumes. Then, climb the impressive stairway that leads to Sicily's largest castle, whose origins can be traced all the way back to the Carthaginians. As part of your visit, you'll get to watch a brief medieval enactment that even gets the kids involved when imposing the sword and oath, after which you'll move on to the on-site workshop-museum of peasant civilisation.
