The port of Willemstad is alive with historic treasures. One of the six UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Caribbean, it was selected in 1997 because of the city's dedication to the preservation of culture and its multicultural community that has grown over three centuries. The architecture and ambiance of Willemstad reflect influences from around the globe. Notable sights include the unique floating marketplace; Fort Amsterdam, a World Heritage Site strategically built in 1635 to guard the vital harbor from enemy ships; and the Queen Emma floating bridge, supported by 16 pontoons, that swings open to allow ships to access the port.

This early 19th-century Dutch colonial mansion has been converted into a small distillery that crafts the Blue Curacao liqueur. Created from the peel of the Valencia orange planted by the Spaniards when they discovered Curacao, the unique spirit has been produced on the island for over 100 years using a traditional recipe dating back to 1886. During a guided tour of the distillery, visitors gain a good understanding of the process and have an opportunity to sample the liqueur.

By bike you reach places that busses cannot. You can go further than you would by foot. Especially with our new E-bikes with pedal assistance. You will drive through streets in Punda, Scharloo & Pietermaai that would otherwise be left unexplored. Via Otrobanda we will reach Punda. We must walk over the famous floating bridge, Queen Emma bridge, that connects both sides of the capital. You will pass many historical monuments, part of the UNESCO World heritage site. Think of the colorful merchant houses on the quay of the harbor entrance, Fort Explore Amsterdam, Curacao National Archive also known as the 'wedding cake house', Pietermaai Cathedral and much more! We will also see paintings from the famous artist Francis Sling. His '3 o'clock Romance' is one of the most photographed Murals in Scharloo. From the flamboyant neighborhood of Pietermaai we will bike back to the ship.

A knowledgeable guide provides a walking tour through the dramatic, underground limestone grottos. Marvel at the imposing stalactites and stalagmites, which produce unusual shadows in the caves' eerie lighting. Your guide will point out the "Pirate's Head," the "Sea Turtle" and the "Giant," which you can see in the rock formations, as well as the famous Madonna statue. Within the caves, you will find unexpected crystal-clear pools. The caves are also a haven for a colony of rarely seen long-nose fruit bats. The caves were originally used as a hiding place for runaway slaves and prior to that as a shelter for island natives.

Situated on the eastern part of the island, this enticing man-made beach is one of the most popular in Curacao and is noted for its soft sand, turquoise waters and shading palm trees. Adjacent to this glorious stretch of sand is the lively Mambo Beach Boulevard, a thriving boardwalk lined with shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment. In the evening, locals say "meet me on the boulevard" to enjoy a warm night of music and laid-back Caribbean style.
