You will have the opportunity to watch artists create one-of-a-kind pieces in Hong Kong’s largest jewelry factory and shop in the on-site boutique, if you wish.

Discover the natural beauty and serenity of Lantau Island, characteristics that haven’t changed since the Buddhists built a mountaintop monastery there in 1906. Delve into Hong Kong’s heritage and cultural traditions by visiting the most representative historical sites, beginning with the 19th-century Man Mo Temple. Its name refers to the Chinese god of literature and the god of marital arts, both of whom were worshipped here. For a candid glimpse into everyday life, you will mingle with the locals as they browse a bustling market. The official national monument Tang Chung Ling Ancestral Hall is more focused on the history of one family—the Tang clan—who still use the 16th-century hall for annual rituals and seasonal festivals. Members of the powerful Man clan lived in Tai Fu Tai, a stately country mansion built in the mid-19th century. It may appear rather somber on the outside, but the interior is lavishly decorated with ornate woodcarvings and plaster moldings as befitting the well-heeled Man clan.
